Glancing out the window, Al saw their neighbor, Evelyn, across the courtyard bending over a barrel of fuchsia impatiens. Today the casual lust she stirred in him was missing. Before long she disappeared inside without glancing across. He continued to stand there thinking about Pam and about himself. Really about the two of them.
The sound of the water stopped followed by the snap closing of the shower door. Pam was still singing, “….. down at the end of lonely street at Heartbreak Hotel.” Like the words of the song, Pam sounds dispirited.
Runner-up to the prom queen, always upbeat, Cute Pam was how everyone referred to her. She was the petite cheerleader who did the flips, was the senior play ingénue and the girl Al climbed over other guys to win. He felt ashamed for being so short with her earlier.
“You know Pami – I guess we could visit Graceland again. And then drive over and spend a few days in Dollywood. Make a week of it. A break .”
“Oh, Al,” she said, her eyes lighting up. She gave him a teasing hug and a loving smile he hadn’t seen in a long time.

Heya! I realize this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog such as yours
take a large amount of work? I’m brand new to operating a blog however I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience
and views online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or
tips for new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!
Thanks for the inquiry. Since I am working on writing projects other than my blog, I have to be diligent in making sure not too much time passes between posts. That is my greatest challenge. I encourage you to start your blog. I am sure you have valuable things to share. Good luck. Keep me posted.
